The entire generation of the grasshoppers including different stages of the nymphs can usually be found feeding on the leaves of the Taro plant (Colocasia esculenta).

It took me quite a while to figure out that this grasshopper is Gesonula mundata instead of Oxya japonica. Both of the species look very similar and are usually available in the same location.
